Decor + Design celebrates its 21st birthday in 2025 – and we have come of age. Australia’s longest-running interior design trade event was originally inspired by Maison & Objet in Paris and has become a gathering place for the Australian design community to see the latest collections and exchange ideas.
Like the great art fairs and salons of the world, gathering together under one roof is an irreplaceable form of connection where new partnerships and ideas emerge.At the 2025 show, 16 – 18 July at Melbourne Exhibition Centre, there will be a new look, with the theme of Elements. It will celebrate the essential elements of nature that inspire designers, particularly Terra, Botanica, Ether and Cosmos. By harnessing these elements, design becomes distinctive and alive.
We are also incorporating surrealist elements, inspired by artists and designers such as Rene Magritte and Elsa Schiaparelli. In tumultuous times, the arts have always looked to the surreal as a way to make sense of an often incomprehensible world. We have developed a stunning new visual identity for Decor + Design that incorporates these elements, with two signature artworks:The Eye of the Elements and The Elemental Triangle.

Step into the Surreal at Decor + Design
These visuals will form the signature aesthetic for 2025, informing everything from branding and signage to the vibrant Elements Bar and features throughout the event. Melbourne-based lighting designer Ilan El will be creating a stunning installation at the entrance to Decor + Design around the theme of Cosmos.
Our Official Colour Partner, Dulux Australia, has also inspired the palette that brings these elements to life, drawing from their 2025 forecast to showcase colours that connect to deeper narratives of place, sustainability and creativity.
Meet Us at the Elements Bar
One of the most essential and fundamental elements of design is community. Decor + Design is a space where the Australian design community gathers in full force. The new Elements Bar at the centre of Decor + Design will be a place of retreat within the show to be inspired, connect and dream.
