Our homes have always been a place to retreat and seek comfort from the world. With the external stress needle often hovering near extreme of late, it’s no wonder that design and furniture customers are gravitating towards shapes and materials that have a grounding effect.
In 2022, the major trends we’re seeing are for curved furniture and textured fabrics. Here are some beautiful examples from brands who will be exhibiting at Australia’s No.1 Interiors Trade Event, Decor + Design, 14 – 17 July at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.
M + Co Living
M + Co Living is a collaboration between husband-and-wife team Michelle and Dean Davis, who together have decades of industry experience.
Based in Melbourne, M + Co offer inspired interior design, property styling trade services and renovations, as well as their very own carefully-curated range of exquisite furniture that will elevate any home.
We love M + Co Living’s elegant velvet Freya Sofa Chair (right), with luscious curves that will ensure total relaxation.
Cromwell Australia
Long-time Decor + Design exhibitors Cromwell will be back in 2022 with an elegant collection. The family-owned and operated business continues to go from strength-to-strength, and we can’t wait to see what they bring to the show in July!
For over 50 years, Cromwell have been supplying interior designers and decorators with the very best products from around the world. Their beautiful ranges include high quality furniture, overhead lighting, mirrors, lamp bases and interior accessories. They also supply handcrafted lampshades which are manufactured in their own workshops.

Beautiful furniture enhances our lives in subtle but profound ways. Well-considered function combined with an elegant form can nourish the senses, having a huge impact on our daily lives.
Darcy & Duke has forged a niche in the Australian interiors industry by providing designers and clients with standout pieces which provide nurturing comfort.
“We seek out beautiful furniture because we appreciate it for more than just its utility,” says Erich Schulenburg, Director of Darcy & Duke. “Our aim is to present our customers with furniture that is beautiful and distinctive, in a style that conveys luxury.”
Their current collection features earthy and neutral tones, circular shapes and loads of texture. We love this circular grey and white striped chair below, as well as the Cube Ottoman in Brick Boucle and Tribeca Console (feature image, above). @darcyandduke
