We’re delighted that visitor favourite Calibre Furniture will be back exhibiting at Decor + Design and the Australian International Furniture Fair (AIFF), 13 – 16 July at Melbourne Exhibition Centre. This year’s show will be rich with inspiration and we can’t wait to see Calibre’s latest collections, which balance a contemporary aesthetic with classic silhouettes and artisanal touches.
In the lead up to the event, we spoke with Michael Miller, General Manager of Calibre, to discover more about the brand and what visitors can expect to see at the show.
Michael, can you tell us more about the team behind Calibre Furniture?
Our teams work with artisans around the world, fusing our contemporary mindset with global skills and traditions. Our collections are defined by soft forms, rich textures and curious details that let you create composed atmospheres with a touch of the unexpected. From materials and processes to production and delivery, we challenge ourselves to help our clients achieve unrivalled value.
Who are your main clients?
Our clients consist of design professionals, retailers, commercial projects, accommodation and turn-key developments. Creating high-quality design at fair prices continues to be our mission. Inspired by daily moments, we design furniture for everyday life.
We believe that furniture design isn’t just about creating a beautiful piece; it’s about designing furniture for everyday use. Therefore, we make furniture pieces that are both aesthetic and functional.
What’s 2023 been like for Calibre compared to last year? Can you share some exciting projects that you’ve worked on recently?
We’re excited to announce Calibre Furniture successfully relocated to brand new 12,000 sqm HQ to expand operations and distribution. Our supply chain has been predominantly focused on fulfilling growth and servicing customers with a holistic strategy. With optimised inventory levels and increased productivity, our customers will directly benefit from reduced lead times and improved service.
We’re delighted that you will be exhibiting in 2023 at Decor + Design in Melbourne. Why have you decided to exhibit and what can visitors expect to see at the show?
We look forward to the opportunity contribute in a meaningful way to the success of the show. Design is all about interaction and inspiration. It’s important to come together and celebrate face-to-face connections.
