For over two decades, Decor + Design has been at the heart of Australia’s design industry, launching major design brands and platforming emerging and established interior and product designers. There’s been a lot of political, social and technological upheaval over the past two decades, but one thing remains constant: Decor + Design continues to support the industry and be an important place for community. More crucial than ever in a polarised world yearning for connection.
Since its inception, the event has become a cornerstone of the Australian design calendar, with the 22nd edition set to take place from 15 – 17 July at Melbourne Exhibition Centre. It brings together wholesale design brands and makers at the exhibition with retailers, commercial and residential interior designers, architects, stylists and media.
Here’s how we continue to support the industry:
We Connect
Decor + Design is more than a trade show. It is place of conversation and innovation. It provides a platform for both emerging and established brands and designers to shine and to connect. Many unexpected partnerships have germinated at the show, from brand collaborations to major media coverage to product lines being picked up domestically and internationally by major retailers. Decor + Design is the place to be to cut through the algorithm and be seen. To allow visitors to touch and feel products.
Over the years, Decor + Design has been the launchpad for some of Australia’s most iconic design brands. Companies like GlobeWest and Bisque have used the event as a springboard to grow into well-known names in the design industry. By providing a platform for brands to connect with buyers and industry professionals, Decor + Design has played a pivotal role in shaping the Australian design landscape.

We Propel the Next Generation
One of the highlights of Decor + Design is VIVID Emerging Designer Awards, Australia’s longest-running design competition for emerging talent. VIVID has been a launchpad for countless designers, offering them the opportunity to showcase their work to industry leaders and gain invaluable exposure. Alumni include Nicole Monks, Edward Linacre, Adam Markowitz, Dale Hardiman, Dean Norton and Marta Figueiredo.

By continuing to sponsor and platform VIVID, Decor + Design is ensuring that the future of the Australian design industry is bright.
We also launched Ready, Set, DESIGN in 2025, to wild success. Hosted by James Treble, Dina Kalpouzos (Concept Living) and Lucy Sutherland (Temple & Webster), this lively competition for interior design students is designed to inspire and educate students and emerging interior designers, providing them with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed in the competitive world of design. It will return on a larger scale in 2026, with competitions across two days, mentoring and talks for students within the Ready, Set, DESIGN lounge.
By investing in education and mentorship, Decor + Design helps to cultivate a thriving interior design community.
We Host World-Class Education
At the International Seminar Series, Decor + Design has also brought some of the biggest names in global design to Australia. Visionaries like Martyn Lawrence Bullard, Karim Rashid, Allegra Hicks, and Abigail Ahern have graced the stage, sharing their insights and inspiring audiences with their creative journeys. These keynote sessions are a highlight of the event, offering attendees the chance to learn from the best in the business.
We also continue to host the most respected names in Australian design every year. Past speakers include Greg Natale, Sibella Court, Richards Stanisich, Megan Morton, Brahman Perera, David Hicks, David Flack, Akira Isogawa, Colette Dinnigan and many more.
We Support Design Industry Charities

Giving back to the community has always been a core value of Decor + Design. Over the years, the event has supported numerous design industry charities, including Shaynna Blaze’s Voice of Change in 2026. These initiatives not only raise awareness for important causes but also demonstrate the power of the design community to make a positive impact.
We Look to the Future of Sustainable Design
In recent years, sustainability has become a key focus for the design industry, and Decor + Design has been at the forefront of this movement. We launched the Green Design Show in 2025, as Australia’s only truly dedicated trade event.

In 2026 it is transitioning beyond a collection of stands into a powerful circular movement that engages the design sector in visionary collaboration.
The 3rd edition will go beyond a traditional exhibition to become a journey through innovative furniture, fixtures, finishes and building materials. Confirmed exhibitors for 2026 include X-Frame and Sustainable Living Fabrics.
We Celebrate Australian Design and Making
Finally, Decor + Design has always celebrated the beauty of homemade and handcrafted design.
Dedicated areas within the event showcase the incredible talent of local artisans, highlighting the unique and personal touch that handmade products bring to interiors. These spaces are a testament to the creativity and craftsmanship that define Australian design.
For the 22nd edition in Melbourne, we remain as committed as ever to supporting and connecting the industry.
