The right chair doesn’t just complete a room—it makes a statement. From sculptural forms to quietly confident staples, Decor + Design is where Australia’s design community comes to discover the latest collections from the country’s best retailers.

Returning to the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from 16–18 July 2025 for its 21st edition, we’ve come of age with a mix of heritage and emerging brands showing ranges that truly inspire. For this edit, we’ve chosen chairs with flair from three confirmed 2025 exhibitors.

Somerset St | Pulse Chair

The Pulse Chair by Somerset St is a masterclass in sculptural simplicity. With a bold, curved silhouette and enveloping seat, this chair creates presence in a space without overpowering it. Its thoughtful proportions make it ideal for residential interiors, boutique commercial fit-outs and editorial-style lounges.

The pieces in Somerset St’s collection stand apart thanks to their exquisite craftsmanship. The Pulse Chair is crafted in Paris by Mercoeur Edition, in collaboration with Seigneur upholsterers. Its beautiful cascade of pleats structures the thick velvet, while the wooden trimming is a paean to the beauty of cabinetmaking.

Atervinna | Willow Stool

The Willow Stool from Atervinna is a minimalistic interpretation of the timeless Scandinavian three-legged stool, blending minimalist aesthetics with craftsmanship. With rounded edge details and soft lines, it features three dowel legs and will be a versatile addition to any space. It can function equally as well as a stool or side table.

Adelaide-based Atervinna is an emerging brand that is committed to sustainability

For the Willow Stool, choose between solid recycled Messmate and sustainably sourced Tasmanian blackwood.

Mulberry Co | Nimbus Chair

Soft, sculptural and designed for moments of calm, the Nimbus Chair by Mulberry Co floats into interiors with grace. Its pillowy form and tactile boucle upholstery lend a luxurious, grounded feel—perfect for creating quiet impact.

Proudly made in Sydney, Nimbus reflects Mulberry Co’s commitment to slow design, sustainability and Australian manufacturing. Crafted using FSC® certified timber and considered materials, it’s a piece made with purpose and integrity.

It’s a standout choice for high-end residential projects, wellness retreats or boutique commercial spaces, blending comfort, conscience and timeless style. Mulberry Co will be exhibiting at The Australian International Furniture Fair (AIFF), co-located over the same dates with Decor + Design.
